We are pleased to announce the second annual Cooking Fire Theatre Festival, a week-long performance extravaganza celebrating theatre, food and public space in Toronto's Dufferin Grove Park. From June 22-26, five innovative theatre companies from Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto will present original work that promises to delight, provoke and inspire. Every evening, a guide will lead the audience throughout the park for performances that incorporate clowning, puppetry, physical theatre, storytelling, and song.
Delicious organic soup and bread will be served over bonfires and from Dufferin Park's two wood-fired outdoor community bake ovens. The food, like the performances, will be Pay-what-you-can, making the Festival accessible to all. Building on the success of last year's event, the Cooking Fire Theatre Festival will be the perfect outdoor destination to enjoy the first week of summer.
