Dufferin Grove northwest corner rink construction project
April 15, 2021 -- fence is down, dumpsters ready
History of discussions -- starting in 2016.
The budget went from an unspecified amount (it was suggested maybe $300,000) to the current, which is nudging up to $8 million.
The community consultation contract went to LURA, no amount available.
The design contract went to DTAH and is here. $682,730.
The construction contract went to Frank Pellegrino General Contracting Ltd., headquartered in Markham. The contract is here. $6,492,157
The purchase and installation of refrigeration is with CIMCO, no contract info available (unless it's part of the Pellegrino contract).
On April 27, 2021, Capital projects staff sent out an update with information: link. The plans still refer to the building as "the clubhouse" but the illustrations of the inside seem to show a daycare centre.
