Weekly Market Notes for January 02, 2014

Happy New Year Everybody!

Yes, there IS a market on January 2nd! Setup will be all in the north end, as the zamboni cannot be parked outside the garage or it will freeze up. As well as a couple of vendors on vacation, some are dealing with the aftermath of the ice storm or temperature challenges and will be absent. Here's who's coming (subject to last-minute adjustments):

  • Chocosol with coffee and chocolate
  • Field Sparrow Farms with pork, beef and chicken
  • Bees Universe with honey and eggs
  • Spade and Spoon with preserves of many kinds
  • Kind Organics with a few greens, kombuchas, herbs, chocolate and tinctures
  • Forbes Wild Foods with dried and preserved foods of many interesting varieties and origins
  • DeFloured with gluten-free baking
  • And of course, our very own Park Bakers, with wood-fired oven breads
  • Ben Sosnicki(bless his heart) can't stay himself due to vehicle issues, but he will be dropping off some of his veggies for another vendor to sell so that we have fresh produce for you.

We look forward to seeing you as you break out of holiday hibernation and restock your larders. That word has me wondering if it was lard that filled old pantries, but we've got some other options as well, perhaps more in keeping with starting the year off on a healthy note!
