The A. M. Orpen Memorial Wading Pool

In 1954, Fred Orpen, the owner of the race track that used to sit where the Dufferin Mall is now donated $10,000 for the construction of a wading pool in Dufferin Grove Park. The wading pool is named after Fred's father, Abe, who founded the race track in 1907. An excerpt from Abe Orpen's 1937 obituary is posted here.
